VON Connect, powered by AlayaCare, is our new digital health technology. It will help to propel us forward as we look to serve a growing and aging population in their homes and in their communities.

Recently, the VON Connect train has been rolling mightily along. In the past couple of months, we have seen three more Nova Scotia sites go live with this new electronic health record!

Monday, October 21, 2024, was the first day of VON Connect’s launch in Cape Breton. Not long after, the team in Antigonish went live. Most recently, on November 19, 2024, our Colchester East Hants site launched VON Connect.

Achieving these milestones would not be possible without the efforts of a large group of committed individuals, from frontline users to supportive clients to community partners to project managers and a comprehensive support team.

Together, this exceptional team is transitioning VON to an electronic health record for our clients and transforming how we provide care.

The software, powered by AlayaCare, was developed specifically for home and community care and customized to suit VON’s unique needs. It has a range of innovative features that will transform the way we provide care.

#VONConnect will eventually link every VON office, provider and client—helping us meet the growing demand for care and better supporting those who provide it.

Stay tuned for more Nova Scotia and Ontario launches!
