VON Connect: two successful launches in Nova Scotia!
We are excited to announce that VON Connect, powered by AlayaCare, has successfully launched at our Cumberland County and Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia sites. Cumberland County went live on August 12th, while Annapolis Valley went live on September 23rd. This marks more significant milestones as we continue rolling out this innovative digital health technology across Nova Scotia and Ontario.
The launches underscore the dedication and collaboration of our talented team members, who have worked hard to ensure the successful implementation of this transformative system. With VON Connect, our teams have tools to work more efficiently, allowing them to focus on what matters most—providing high-quality care to our clients.
The sites are home to a number of vital programs that enrich the lives of clients and improve their health outcomes. These include essential services like home nursing and home supports, along with community-based programs such as Meals on Wheels, CAPABLE and the Adult Day Program, which offers social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for seniors and individuals with disabilities, providing their family caregivers much-needed respite.
The introduction of VON Connect brings improved communication and scheduling functions, helping staff to coordinate care more effectively. By streamlining these processes, VON Connect will ultimately bring more care to more people who need it, enriching the lives of those we serve.
VON Connect fundraising campaign in final stretch
In addition to our efforts in advancing digital care, we are proud to share that we have raised $9.3 million towards our $10 million goal for the VON Connect project. As Christine Joannette, Senior Director of Philanthropy, notes: “The final stretch of a capital campaign is always the most challenging. We need the continued support of our generous donors to help us cross the finish line and achieve our goal.”
Additional fundraising will help to ensure we have the necessary tools to support ongoing maintenance and development of VON Connect, powered by AlayaCare.
