Nurse practitioners (NPs) at our nurse practitioner clinics provide a wide range of primary health-care services to people of all ages.
NPs are advanced practice registered nurses with additional skills and education. NPs diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications and perform medical procedures. They provide comprehensive care that promotes physical, psychological and social wellness. NPs can also help patients and their families access other providers and services that are important in the management of health conditions.
Our NP clinics improve access to primary health care for clients, helping to keep clients out of the Emergency Department.
We operate a number of nursing clinics across Ontario and Nova Scotia. You can find out more about our different nursing clinics here.
