Immigrant Health Clinic

Our Nurse practitioners (NPs) provide a wide range of primary health-care services to people of all ages. Our Immigrant Health Clinic is a one-stop service where newcomers can get their immediate primary health-care needs met and be connected to a long-term primary care provider.

This Windsor-based clinic provides newcomers with a warm welcome into our health community. Care is available in multiple languages from a diverse team that includes nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, family service caseworkers and a range of administrative support. We offer immigrants and refugees care for immediate health issues, comprehensive medical screening, primary care support and education on healthy living and wellness.

NPs are advanced practice registered nurses with additional skills and education. NPs diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications and perform medical procedures. They provide comprehensive care that promotes physical, psychological and social wellness. NPs can also help patients and their families access other providers and services that are important in the management of health conditions.
