Samantha Hamilton brings expertise in health administration, quality improvement and risk management to the VON Board of Directors.
Samantha is currently the Vice-President, Quality and Performance with Bruyere Health. She brings expertise in health administration, quality improvement and risk management to the VON Board of Directors.
Prior to her current roles, Samantha was a Director with The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) for more than 10 years, leading the quality and patient safety program, including oversight of the accreditation, patient safety and infection control programs.
Prior to TOH, she was the National Director of quality, risk and operational support for ParaMed Home Health. Prior to that, she worked for ten years in progressively senior quality and risk management roles at Canadian Blood Services. Samantha also has experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries in the areas of quality and compliance systems.
Samantha has a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Waterloo. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) and holds certificates in risk management, strategy, health law and the PROSCI change practitioner methodology.
