Neil Shah brings his experience in health services, strategic and corporate planning and project management to the VON Board of Directors.

Neil Shah is the chief executive officer for North York Family Health Team, an academically focused team-based primary care practice with offices across North York, Ontario. He has worked in various strategic and corporate planning and project management roles for academic and community hospitals, government agencies and health and social service organizations.

He is currently on the boards of the Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services and the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario. Neil’s previous governance experience includes being a board director and chair of Sherbourne Health.

Neil holds an honours bachelor of science degree in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Guelph and an MBA in health services management from McMaster University. He has a certificate in organizational leadership from Harvard Business School Online and has completed graduate courses in leadership, higher and adult education from the University of Toronto.
