VON operates community nursing clinics throughout Nova Scotia

Our clients may receive nursing care in their homes, at a local VON clinic, through virtual appointments or by a combination of the three.

Clinics are a convenient way for ambulatory clients to access needed services, including wound care, medication administration, dressing changes, pain and symptom management and intravenous therapy, in a timely and efficient manner. Registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) collaborate to provide comprehensive nursing care.

Access to community nursing services requires a referral from Nova Scotia Continuing Care.
