VON staff, volunteers and supporters are looking forward to celebrating VON Week from May 17 to 23, 2026.
VON Week is an annual event that pays tribute to our remarkable team and to the funders, donors and other community partners who help us to bring essential care to our clients and their families in Ontario and Nova Scotia every day.

Our 2026 theme—Powered by Compassion—speaks to the care and commitment demonstrated by our staff and volunteers.
VON has a long history of supporting people in need in Canada. The home and community care sector is always changing, and we are committed to evolving to meet the needs of a growing population. But one thing never changes—we help clients live safely at home and in their communities, where they want to be.
And compassion is the fuel that drives each one of us to carry out VON's mission.
VON Week celebrates all that we have achieved, the workforce that makes VON what it is today and how we will impact the sector going forward. We are proud to be key contributors to an efficient, people-centred healthcare system.
