The Sobey Foundation has announced $8.3 million in funding over five years to build capacity in primary healthcare delivery and invest in community development in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. VON is grateful to be one of five strategic partners to benefit from the funds. The Foundation's commitment of $1.1 million will help to build VON Connect, our digital transformation project, in the area, as well as provide a driver to bring clients to VON's New Glasgow nursing clinic. The funds will also enable training programs that will support Pictou County in becoming a centre of excellence for frailty, palliative and end-of-life care.
