Who do we serve?
VON staff and volunteers provide in-home care and community support services to people of all ages dealing with significant health challenges. It could be chronic health issues, disabilities or medical setbacks. We’re proud to help newborns who need home nursing and seniors who want to live safely in the comfort of their own homes.
What is home and community care?
We tailor our in-home supports to each client’s individual needs. They might require the help of a professional nurse or assistance with personal care.
The community in home and community care refers to our community services, such as Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Programs and transportation (to medical appointments and other essential outings). They are additional supports that help people to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. At the same time, these services enhance social connection, supporting better mental health.
