Understanding Federal Benefits: Income, Disability, and Health Supports. Presented by Service Canada, Virtual on Teams
Join us for a morning information session led by a Service Canada representative that will provide an overview of key federal income, disability, and health benefit programs available to Canadians.
This session is designed to help participants better understand available supports, eligibility basics, and how to access these programs during times of illness, disability, caregiving, or family loss.
Topics covered include:
Employment Insurance (EI) Caregiving Benefits, with a brief overview of EI Sick Benefits
Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Disability benefits for contributors and beneficiaries
CPP Survivor, Death, and Child Benefits
Canada Disability Benefit, including the Disability Tax Credit (CRA)
Canada Dental Care Plan
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of federal benefits, when and how they may apply, and where to go for additional information or support.
