This FREE community grief and wellness event for health professionals and those with an interest in palliative and bereavement care will include expert speakers:

Keynote Speakers:

Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Director Center for Loss & Life Transition
The Art of “Companioning” the Mourner: Caring Versus Curing
This workshop will be helpful to anyone who wants to learn more about essential caregiving principles for caring for grieving persons. It will be particularly helpful to counselors, social workers, clergy, chaplains, nurses and lay ministers. 

Rami Shami, Consultant Hospice Palliative Care
Building Resilience & Maintaining Wellbeing 
Sharing his knowledge and experiences as a consultant, Rami specializes in person-centred approaches and supports the development and growth of programs and services for those travelling the journey of a life-limiting illness, caregiving, bereavement.

Also included in this event will be practical wellness activities to help with coping, and holding space for this important aspect of our life journey. Lunch will be provided.
