Board of Directors

Neil Shah brings his experience in health services, strategic and corporate planning and system transformation to the VON Board of Directors.

Neil Shah has extensive experience across the health sectors including primary care, mental health, hospitals, home and community care, government agencies and the Ministry. He works in various strategic and system transformation roles to create positive impacts for individuals, populations, and communities, all underpinned by a lens on equity, diversity and inclusion.

Neil’s governance experience includes being a board chair of Sherbourne Health and on the boards for Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services and the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario. He also holds a certificate in Collaborative Health Governance from McMaster University.

Neil holds an honours bachelor of science degree in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Guelph and an MBA in health services management from McMaster University. He has a certificate of Specialization in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School Online and has completed graduate courses in adult education from the University of Toronto.
