As of January 2025, Amy has retired from her role as the executive director of the London Family Health Team in Ontario. Amy has also spent over six years in the social services sector working with street involved youth and youth at risk of homelessness.
She has extensive expertise in healthcare risk and insurance management, quality and patient safety, business informatics, physical rehabilitation, total quality management and organization culture evaluation in the two teaching hospitals in London, Ontario. Amy also practised as an occupational therapist in Fredericton, New Brunswick with a focus on rehabilitation technologies.
Amy earned her MBA from Western University and her Bachelor of Science (occupational therapy) from the University of Toronto. Amy has volunteered for many non-profit organizations, including serving as a board member (since 2010) and president (2013-2016) of the VON Middlesex-Elgin Community Corporation; and serving on the VON Canada Board of Directors (2016 to 2025) and most recently chaired the VON Quality, Risk and Client Safety Committe.
