Sara joined VON Canada in July of 2024. She has previously worked at Ontario Tech University, the University of Toronto and the Ontario Ombudsman.
She began her legal career as an associate with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York City, and went on to private practice in Toronto with Goodmans LLP.
In her work with the University of Toronto, Sara enjoyed the practical application of the law to healthcare-related scenarios and working with healthcare practitioners, including nurses, social workers, dentists, doctors and occupational therapists. She has also volunteered extensively with neurodivergent communities and is committed to supporting VON's work and emerging initiatives to benefit the diverse communities we serve.
Sara holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
