Dafna Carr is an Associate Deputy Minister with Service Ontario. She brings expertise in information technology and business intelligence to the VON Board of Directors.
Dafna Carr became an associate deputy minister (ADM) with Service Ontario in November 2021. Prior to this, she was the corporate chief information officer and ADM with GovTechON, leading the development, deployment and operation of information technology solutions for the Government in the areas of health, education, human services, the environment, the economy, justice and transportation and is accountable for cybersecurity and infrastructure technology services.
Dafna has held positions at Health Quality Ontario, Cancer Care Ontario, University Health Network and Gamma-Dynacare Laboratories. In these organizations, she led a series of large-scale transformation projects enabled by technology and business intelligence, in areas such as cancer screening and cancer care, access to care, wait times, patient safety and laboratory operations.
Dafna holds an MBA from York University and has completed the Advanced Health Leadership program at the University of Toronto.
