SMILE Service Provider
The SMILE Program does not hire service providers directly.
SMILE assists eligible clients to set up a care plan to support them in their Instrumental activities of daily living,
practical supports, such as meal prep or delivery, home help, snow / yard work, laundry, transportation.
Clients often choose to have their services delivered through the local Community Support Agency.
For example, clients may choose housekeeping and laundry service from a Home Help Program or Meals from a ‘Meals on Wheels’ Program.
Clients may choose to engage someone they know, such as a neighbour who may assist with these chores or select services from a local Business.
Clients have the choice in which their provider of service will be (except for relatives or individuals living in their home).
SMILE is able to cover the costs for service for eligible clients.
