Alumni
Over the course of 113 years, VON
has touched the lives of many people. When we talk about “touching lives since 1897” we tend to link this to the lives of clients and their families, but we have also touched the lives of thousands of employees and volunteers. From time to time we meet these people unexpectedly and the common question is “what’s going on at VON”. Many have expressed the desire to hear more about what we are doing on a regular basis, and to renew contact with the organization. The notion of setting up an alumni association has been talked about for many years and now we are doing it.
Our Alumni are valued by the organization and we want you to feel that way.
The nature of the association will be entirely up to each of you. Some Alumni will become a formal part of the VON family, fulfilling various and varying roles in a volunteer capacity. Some Alumni will chose to simply stay connected through VON’s communication network. The choice is entirely yours.
